At 8 a.m. meet at the pole barn/residence at 18812 Fishburne Drive.

From U.S. Hwy 41, 3.9 miles south of County Line Road, immediately after Wilderness Lake Church, turn west on Winding Creek Drive, then veer right on Bakersfield Drive. At the T intersection, turn left on Mahoney which immediately turns right and becomes Fishburne. At the end of Fishburne, drive through the "Conservation Area" gate and park at the pole barn/residence.

A 4x4 wheel drive/high clearance vehicle is recommended because of the rough terrain. There are soft sandy spots, and the grass can be slippery in early morning. If you intend to come, please contact the trip leader so transportation can be organized.

This 598-acre property was acquired by Pasco County in 2009 and 2011, and is only open to the public by arrangement. Expect to see waders, a few species of shorebirds and ducks, and numerous woodland birds.
