Fields trips are open to everyone interested in birding. Non-members are welcome.

We suggest comfortable clothing, insect repellent, suncreen, and water or other suitable beverages.

Meet at 8 a.m. at the entrance to the trail at 5990 N Tallahassee Road, Crystal River, FL 34428

About 2 miles north of the Crystal River Mall on US-19 (just south of Seven River Hospital) turn left (west) onto Curtis Tool Road. The entrance is just north (right) of the end of this block, on Tallahassee Road.

This is an easy, 2-mile walk through beautiful, varied habitat of upland mixed pine, oak, and pasture that attracts a large variety of passerines as well as hawks.

Note: The Crystal River Eco-Walk is part of the 27,295-acre Crystal River Preserve State Park.
