Fields trips are open to everyone interested in birding. Non-members are welcome.
To participate, contact the trip leader
to confirm time and meeting place.
We suggest comfortable clothing, insect repellent, suncreen, and water or other suitable beverages.

Bring binoculars, water, snacks, mosquito repellent.

Meet at 8 a.m. at the park entrance at 8737 U.S. 19 Port Richey FL 34668.
There is a $3.00 per vehicle entrance fee to the park.

To car pool from Spring Hill, meet at 7:30 a.m. near the car wash at the Publix parking lot, at the interesection of County Line Road and Mariner Blvd.

At Werner-Boyce we will bird the hiking trail, one-half mile. We hope to see possible early spring migrants and wading birds, wrens and sparrows. We will also check the park out for a future kayaking trip.

From Werner-Boyce we will proceed to Crews Lake Wilderness Park.  We will explore the nature trails and observation tower.
The hike will be about one mile. We expect  to find waders, Ovenbirds, Wood Ducks and possibly hawks.

Crews Lake is located at 16739 Crews Lake Drive Spring Hill, FL 34610-8040.

From Crews Lake Wilderness Park we return to the Publix parking lot around noon.
