Linda, the trip leader on our scheduled March 20 trip, birds "off-trail" on a December 2020 outing, just to keep her combination skills sharp.                                       Photo by Bruce Vanderveen.
You must contact the trip leader to reserve your spot. Masks required. We observe social distancing.

Meet at Lake Townsen Preserve Park at 8 a.m.

The park address is:
28011 Lake Lindsey Road
Brooksville, FL 34610

We will ride a total of about 12 miles: 6 miles north from the park and 6 miles south.

This is a beautiful section of the state trail that passes through forests and fields. We will stop periodically to look for birds and other wildlife. This is a no-stress, no-rush ride.

Please bring water, snacks and binoculars.

"And I don't want to be seen," says the Downy Woodpecker.
"No trespassing? I'm just hanging out by the bicycle trail."
Field trips are open to anyone interested in birding. Non-members are welcome.

We suggest comfortable clothing, insect repellent, sunscreen, and water or other suitable beverages.
